Progressive Web App (PWA)

The software itself is a web application but thanks to its user-friendliness and the special feature that yCloudx provides, you may also turn the web application to feel more like a desktop or mobile application.

Turn to a desktop app:

  1. Go to the Chrome ‘settings’ menu, the three vertical dots in the top right corner.
  2. From there you will see a menu option to install your progressive web app. (Install yCloudx)
  3. Click Install and that’s it! There will be a yCloudx app icon on your home screen.

For old version of Chrome, the steps are a little bit different:

  1. Go to a browser (Chrome) and type the web application’s link.
  2. “Right Click” on your mouse and click “Inspect”.
  3. Then, proceed to Application > Manifest and click “Add to Homescreen”.
  4. That’s it! There will be a yCloudx app icon on your home screen.

Turn to a mobile app (Android):

  1. Open your mobile browser and type the web application’s link.
  2. Tap the menu button in the upper right corner (three vertical dots) and then tap Add to Home screen.
  3. You will then be prompted to give the name to the app.
  4. Do that and the icon for the system will appear on your home screen.

*To some extent, you will be greeted by web app banner to add the app to the home screen
